The purpose of LCC's Monitoring Report Review Teams is to conduct data analysis on the institution's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and develop strategic and operational planning priorities.

Each of the college's mission areas has a separate monitoring team:

  • Academic Transfer
  • Institutional Excellence and Community Enrichment
  • Preparation for College Level Studies
  • Student Access, Support and Completion
  • Workforce and Economic Development

Monitoring teams support the college's institutional effectiveness framework, which is critical for accreditation purposes.

The teams are managed by Effectiveness & College Relations, and each of the college's Vice Presidents and Deans chair or co-chair a team. Each team meets twice per year, once to conduct data analysis, and once to participate in strategic and operational planning.

Monitoring Report Review Team membership is open to all employees, with invitations to join extended via faculty/staff email twice per year, in the spring and in the fall. Membership is on a voluntary basis. Teams also include student and community representatives, and representatives from the LCC Board of Trustees. Students are invited via email to apply at the beginning of each academic year, and are compensated for their participation. All team members have an opportunity to participate in training, and provide feedback through an evaluation process.

Data Analysis follows a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) format and is documented in each of the monitoring reports by mission area. SWOT analysis documentation is located at the end of each report.
