The Collection Development Committee is a standing committee of the Instructional Council. Its purpose is to establish collaboration between the student body, faculty, and Learning Commons staff in order to meet the instructional needs of the college.
The committee ensures that LCC's Learning Commons' holdings, equipment, and services are focused on the college curriculum and programs so that students and faculty have the resources they need.
To achieve this goal, the committee assists in:
- Recommending materials for purchase.
- Acting as liaisons between the campus community and the Learning Commons.
- Developing, reviewing, and recommending policies and procedures for:
- Accessing materials and services, and
- Acquiring and processing print and electronic resources.
