The Academic Calendar Committee reports to the Governance Council on academic and quarterly calendar events, holidays, and quarter start and end dates.
Membership consists of the Vice President of Student Services serving as the committee chair as well as representatives from Instruction, Registration, Advising, Payroll, and Effectiveness & College Relations. Meetings are held annually.
New dates and updates that are made to the academic calendar are reviewed and approved by the Executive Leadership Team as well as the Governance Council.
Some calendar dates are governed by Washington State regulations, such as the 50% and 100% refund cut off dates. Dates are also set internally by Registration, Financial Aid, or the Finance Office, such as tuition due dates, waitlist closed dates, academic early warning dates, admissions deadlines, and the last day for administrative holds. The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Services oversees updates to the Academic Calendar on the Lower Columbia College Website.
