Due to possible liability issues and medical complications during transportation, LCC discourages employees from transporting other employees, students, or campus visitors who may be injured or ill.
In the event that a campus community member needs transport and cannot arrange for it themselves, 911 should be contacted. Professional transport ensures that medical attention can be provided en route.
LCC also recognizes that some disaster situations may require alternate transportation when campus cannot be served by licensed ambulance services.
First aid kits can be found in strategic locations across the campus for the purposes of providing basic first aid treatment. First aid kits contain basic first aid supplies such as gloves, assorted bandages, tape, alcohol, burn gel and antiseptic wipes. First Aid kits are re-stocked on a regular basis.

AEDs are portable devices that use electrical therapy, defibrillation, to stop arrhythmia, which allows the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. AEDs are used to treat life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
