Safeguarding the well-being of our campus community

The Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS) at Lower Columbia College plays a fundamental role in safeguarding the well-being of our campus community while promoting responsible stewardship of our environment. With a multifaceted approach, our department oversees occupational safety by implementing comprehensive protocols, training, and resources to minimize workplace risks. Additionally, EHS oversees environmental compliance, ensuring that our college adheres to all relevant regulations and standards, minimizing our ecological impact.

Beyond regulatory compliance, EHS works diligently to collaborate with other departments on initiatives that drive resource efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable practices throughout campus operations. By seamlessly integrating occupational safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability efforts, EHS strives to create a culture of shared initiative and responsibility.
